Evelyne Bell is internationally recognised as the leading authority on Henry Walton (1746-1813) and she has also gained a reputation as an authority on the art of Hubert-François Gravelot (1699-1773). Evelyne is an independent fine art consultant who specialises in 18th and early 19th century art, especially 18th century portraits. She is a private consultant to an American collector, researching and cataloguing his 18th century portraits. She undertakes a number of consultancy services, including researching and cataloguing private art collections and providing detailed and fully illustrated artwork inventories. Evelyne is based in East Anglia and has close links with a number of highly respected French and English art institutions. As a native French speaker with extensive knowledge of the art history world, Evelyne also undertakes translations of art history material both from and into French. Evelyne is a past fellow at the Yale Center for British Art and at the University of Essex. She is the Official Fine Art Consultant to the Victor Batte-Lay Trust at the Minories Art Gallery in Colchester and Art Advisor to the Diocese of Chelmsford. She is also a Member of the Arts Scholars Livery Company and a Freeman of the City of London. |
